Thank you for visiting Dots On Pots. My online store has new designs / sizes being added all the time. Each pot is lovingly created by hand so if the item in your cart is marked ‘backorder’ it just means I have to create it especially for you – such is the nature of handmade items. This could take a few weeks depending on blank stock being available and the volume of orders at the time. Please email to let me know if you have specific deadline requirements or if you have any other questions.

Custom orders are also welcome.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put my pots outside?

Yes, the pots are fully sealed inside and out so they are suitable to use outside.

What kind of paint do you use?

Water based paint.

How much is postage / freight?

This depends on where you live. You can enter your postcode on checkout and freight will be calculated for you.

How do you send the pots to me?

Usually I send via a courier company called Sendle. They sub contract to Fastway and Couriers Please. I can send via Australia Post by request.

Can I collect my order?

Yes, once the order is paid for in full you can collect from Springfield Lakes QLD.

Will the colours fade?

I have never had an issue with fading. I have painted pots that have been outside for more than 10 years and they still look as good as they did the day they were painted.

Do you do workshops?

I don’t do painting workshops but I work closely with Berna’s Succulent Garden and we have regular succulent workshops in Springfield QLD.

Do you make the pots?

No, I leave that up to the experts. My specialty is decorating the pots.

Can your designs be done in different sizes and shapes to those shown?

Yes – most (but not all) of my designs will work on various shapes. If you have a specific request just ask.

Can you do custom orders?

Absolutely – please send me your idea and I will let you know if it’s feasible.

If I order a design that's on back order how long will it be until it's ready?

Firstly, this depends on whether blank stock is available in your preferred style and size. Providing the blank stock is available the completed pot should be ready to send to you within 2 weeks.

When do you send orders?

I prefer to send orders on Mondays so that parcels are not as likely to be sitting in a depot over the weekend.

Do you send overseas?

I can send overseas but keeping in mind that terracotta pots are heavy the freight might be prohibitive.

Are the pots waterproof?

The pots are fully sealed inside and out so that the designs are not damaged by water.

Will the paint harm my plants?

I have not seen any evidence that the paint harms plants.

Can I get saucers to match the pots?

Yes, saucers are generally available. Some styles have the saucer included and some are an optional extra.

Why are some styles / sizes out of stock for so long?

The pots I use come from Italy and the level of stock coming into Australia is out of my control. I try to keep as much blank stock as possible to avoid delivery delays to my clients.

What are your payment options?

From the website it is possible to pay via Direct Deposit, Credit Card and AfterPay.

Can you provide a tax invoice.

Certainly – just let me know you would like one and I can email it to you.

If I like a design but want it in different colours can you do that?

Yes, that’s one of the advantages of custom-made – let me know your preferred colours and I can adapt your preferred design.

Do you have a retail outlet / shopfront?

No, but I occasionally sell at markets.

Do you sell at markets?

Sometimes. Keep an eye out on Facebook or the website for updates of where Dots On Pots will be.

My pot/s arrived broken - what do I do?

I will replace the broken items for free. Please send me comprehensive photos of how the parcel arrived, including the packaging and the damaged pot/s so I can make a claim against Sendle or Australia Post.

Are you only in Queensland?

Yes, but I can freight Australia wide.

What plants can I put in my pots?

This is limited only by your imagination. A lot of my pots feature succulents as these are highly fashionable at the moment but any plants are suitable. At home I have a large variety of plants in my painted pots including succulents, herbs, adeniums, ferns and gingers.

Do you only do terracotta pots?

Yes, these are my preference.

What if I don't like my pot or pots when they arrive?

Please contact me so we can discuss what you don’t like. I’m more than happy to come up with a solution.
